Driver dies after crashing into parked train on Chicago's SW Side
CHICAGO - A driver was killed after crashing into a parked train in Garfield Ridge Saturday evening.
Chicago police say a man was driving a 2012 Cadillac sedan at a high rate of speed in the 5900 block of South Natoma Avenue around 5:30 p.m.
The driver went up an embankment and struck a maintenance train.
The victim was pronounced dead on scene. No other injuries were reported.
The Major Accidents unit is investigating.
