Elderly man with dementia who went missing located safe: police
CHICAGO - An elderly man with dementia who briefly went missing on Thursday has been located.
John Shaw, 80, was reported missing Jan. 2 after he was last seen leaving his home in the 3400 block of North Natchez Avenue just after 8 a.m. with an orange suitcase, police said.

Shaw, who suffers from dementia, was last seen wearing a navy blue trucker hat with the phrase "Jesus is Our Savior," a plaid shirt, dark pants, a dark jacket, and green camouflage Crocs, according to police.
Authorities believed Shaw was heading to an Amtrak station to travel to Carbondale, but did not confirm where he was located.
No further information was immediately available.
