Woman critically injured in Englewood apartment fire: police

CHICAGO - A 44-year-old woman was critically injured Sunday afternoon in an apartment fire on Chicago's South Side.

The blaze broke out around 2 p.m. in the 600 block of W. 62nd Place.

According to police, the female victim suffered a smoke-related injury and was transported to the University of Chicago Hospital in critical condition.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
