Funerals scheduled this week for Chicago police officers killed by train

The wakes and funerals for the two Chicago police officers who were fatally struck by a train will take place this week.

Officers Conrad Gary and Eduardo Marolejo were killed by a South Shore Line train Monday as they were investigating shots fired in the Rosemoor neighborhood.

The wake for Gary is scheduled to take place from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St., Oak Lawn. Gary's funeral will take place at 9:30 a.m. Friday at the St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel, 7740 S. Western Ave.

The wake for Marmolejo will take place from 3 to 9 p.m Friday, at the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home. His funeral will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, at St. Rita of Cascia Shrine Chapel.

On Wednesday, prior to the wakes and funerals, the bodies of the fallen Chicago police officers were transported from the Medical Examiner's Office to the Blake-Lamb Funeral Home.
