WILL COUNTY, Ill. - A crash in the south suburbs involving a garbage truck and two other vehicles has left two people dead and four others injured, authorities said.

The crash occurred at 11:19 a.m. Thursday on U.S. 45, south of Offner Road and northwest of Peotone, according to Illinois State Police.
Four people were transported to area hospitals, while two others died at the scene.
The Will County Coroner's Office identified the victims as Richard L. Wayt, 77, and Kathleen A. Wayt, 63, both of Frankfort, Illinois.
