Grand Crossing shooting: Man killed on Chicago's South Side

CHICAGO - A 42-year-old man was gunned down Saturday afternoon on Chicago's South Side.

Around 12:25 p.m., police say the male victim was in an alley in the 7300 block of S. Dorchester Ave. when he was shot multiple times to the chest by an unknown offender.

The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

Nobody was reported in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
