Greater Grand Crossing shooting: Man struck in abdomen and back on Chicago's South Side
CHICAGO - A 33-year-old man was shot Thursday afternoon on Chicago's South Side.
Around 3:44 p.m., police say the male victim was near the sidewalk in the 600 block of E. 72nd St. when he was struck by gunfire to the abdomen and back.
The victim took himself to the University of Chicago Hospital in serious condition, police said.
Nobody was reported in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
