Gresham fire leaves 1 hospitalized
CHICAGO - A man was injured after a fire broke out at a residence Thursday morning in the Gresham neighborhood.

What we know:
The fire began around 2 a.m. at a home in the 8100 block of South Emerald Avenue, according to police.
Paramedics treated a 50-year-old man at the scene and transported him to Little Company of Mary Hospital for smoke inhalation. He was listed in good condition.
Another person who was inside the home was uninjured, police said. Neither resident was displaced.
What we don't know:
The cause of the fire is under investigation. It was not immediately clear how long the fire was active or how much of the home was damaged.
