Will County crash: 10 injured when special needs bus collides with FedEx van

MANHATTAN, Ill. - Ten people were injured when a special needs bus and a FedEx van collided in Manhattan Thursday afternoon.

The crash occurred around 3 p.m. near the intersection of West Manhattan Road and South Ridge Road.

Ten people were injured in the incident, with one person being ejected in the crash. That person was hospitalized with serious injuries that were considered non-life threatening.

Nine others sustained minor injuries and were taken to hospitals as a precaution, officials said.

Fire officials had urged residents to avoid the area.

The circumstances of the collision were not immediately available. The investigation is ongoing.
