Driver arrested after hit-and-run crash on NW Side
CHICAGO - A hit-and-run crash involving multiple vehicles unfolded Monday night in Chicago’s Montclare neighborhood, leading to the arrest of a driver.
The crash happened around 10:25 p.m. in the 2600 block of North Narragansett Avenue. Police said a white vehicle traveling southbound had stopped at a stop sign to allow pedestrians to cross. A white truck behind the vehicle attempted to pass it, sideswiping the stopped car before fleeing the scene.
The fleeing truck then struck three unoccupied parked vehicles before officers located and stopped it, police said. The driver was taken into custody, and citations were issued.
There were no reported in the crash, according to police.
