IDOT truck rear-ended while slowing down for crash on I-57 in Chicago
CHICAGO - An Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT) truck was rear-ended early Friday morning in a crash on Interstate 57, authorities said.
The incident happened around 4:19 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-57, just north of Wentworth Avenue.
According to Illinois State Police, troopers responded to a two-vehicle crash at the scene. Investigators determined that an IDOT truck, which was slowing down for an earlier crash, was struck from behind by a Chevrolet Malibu.
No injuries were reported, but the right two lanes of I-57 were temporarily closed.
