Illinois Lottery player wins $10M scratch-off ticket at South Elgin gas station

An Illinois Lottery player won $10 million after purchasing a scratch-off ticket at a Speedway gas station in Chicago’s northwest suburbs.

The winning ticket was purchased at a Speedway gas station at 1775 North La Fox Street in South Elgin.

As a bonus for selling the winning ticket, the South Elgin Speedway station will receive 1% of the prize amount, or $100,000.

The game had three $10 million top prizes. The first top prize was won by a player who purchased a ticket at a Casey's convenience store in Alton in May 2024, and the second was purchased at a Jewel-Osco in Countryside in November.
