Lane Tech High School to change controversial mascot

CHICAGO - Lane Tech High School is changing its mascot after years of controversy.
The current mascot is the Indians.
In a letter to parents, the principal said that the administration is now working with Chicago Public Schools and the local school council to choose a new mascot.
Families will be told more about the process in the coming weeks.
