Mamibaby and Cosy Nation baby loungers recalled due to suffocation risk

Mamibaby and Cosy Nation baby loungers are being been recalled because they pose a suffocation risk to infants.
Consumer Product Safety Commission officials said the Mamibaby and Cosy Nation baby loungers violate federal safety regulations for infant sleep products, noting that the sides are too low to contain the infant.

The recall covers more than 32,000 loungers and CPSC officials said there are no reports of injuries.

CPSC officials explain in a letter that the products violate safety regulations because the sleeping pad is too thick and poses a suffocation risk and officials say an infant could fall out of an enclosed opening at the foot of the lounger or get trapped. These loungers also don’t have a stand and pose a fall hazard if the product is used on an elevated surface.

These baby loungers were advertised as "baby lounger" and "co-sleeper" and were sold in different printed fabrics and colors, including Animal, Baby Crown, Classics Dinosaur, Crocodile, and Deer.
Loungers were sold online at Amazon.com between June 2023 and June 2024 and the CPSC is encouraging consumers who purchased one to stop using them immediately and contact MEIXIA Shop for information on how to get rid of them and to receive a refund.

MEIXIA Shop and Amazon are reaching out directly to consumers who bought the loungers.
