Man, 18, killed after being shot in the face, chest in Woodlawn alley

CHICAGO - A man was shot dead in an alley in Woodlawn Thursday afternoon.

At about 3:33 p.m., an 18-year-old man was in an alley in the 800 block of East 62nd Street when he was shot in the chest and the face, Chicago police said.

He was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Area One detectives are investigating.
