Man, 37, charged with stealing from Chicago apartment complexes

A Chicago man has been charged in connection with a series of burglaries at apartment complexes across the city dating back to last April.

Jonathan Minter, 37, was accused of unlawfully entering at least seven residences and stealing items from within, according to CPD. Minter was arrested Monday in Skokie and charged with seven counts of burglary, all felonies.

The burglaries took place at complexes on following days and locations:

  • April 3 in the 5900 block of North Lincoln Avenue in Peterson Park
  • April 9 in the 5800 block of North Clark Street in Andersonville
  • April 15-16 in the 110 block of West Ardmore in Old Norwood Park 
  • April 16 in the 5600 block of North Broadway in Edgewater
  • April 17 in the 5700 block of North Winthrop Avenue in Edgewater
  • Sept. 7 in the 3800 block of North Fremont Street in Lake View
  • Sept. 28 in the 1800 block of South Michigan Avenue in South Loop

Minter is scheduled to attend a detention hearing Thursday.
