Man, 70, killed in Burnside house fire: officials

CHICAGO - A house fire on the South Side claimed the life of a 70-year-old man Sunday evening. 

The fire happened at 6 p.m. in the 600 block of E 89th Place, in the Burnside neighborhood. 

The man was unconscious inside the home when the fire broke out. Chicago police say he was pronounced deceased at the scene.

His identity hasn't been released. 

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
