Man in critical condition after being shot in Little Village alley, police say

CHICAGO - A 41-year-old man is in critical condition after being shot in the head Sunday evening in an alley in Little Village, authorities said.

The shooting occurred at 5:35 p.m. in the 4100 block of W. 27th Street.

Police said the man was in the alley when a vehicle approached, and someone inside fired shots, striking him in the head.

The man was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
