Man critically injured after falling down elevator shaft on North Side

CHICAGO - A man is in critical condition after falling four floors down an elevator shaft in a building on the North Side this morning. 

Fire officials say the incident happened at a building that is under construction in the 5600 block of North Lincoln Avenue at 6:45 a.m.

The man was taken to St. Francis Hospital.
