Man critically injured in Aurora shooting, police say
AURORA, Ill. - A man was critically injured in a shooting Wednesday night on Aurora's Near East Side, authorities said.
The incident occurred just before 7 p.m. in the 0-49 block of North Anderson Street.
Aurora police responded after receiving a ShotSpotter alert and found the man suffering from gunshot wounds.
Further details surrounding the shooting are unknown at this time.
The victim was transported to a local hospital by ambulance, police said. No other injuries were reported.
