Man dead after being shot in the head in Chicago

CHICAGO - A man is dead after being shot in the head in Chicago Lawn Wednesday night. 

At about 6:09 p.m., a 27-year-old man was in the 2500 block of West 63rd Street when he was shot in the head and body by gunfire.

He was transported to Christ Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

There are no offenders in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
