Man fatally shot in the chest in Grand Crossing: police

CHICAGO - A man died after he was found shot in the chest in Grand Crossing Monday morning. 

Chicago police responded to the 1200 block of East 71st Street and discovered an unresponsive 33-year-old man in the street. 

He was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center with gunshot wounds to the chest. He was pronounced dead a short time later. 

No arrests were reported. Area detectives are investigating the incident.
