Man fatally shot while riding in vehicle on Chicago's West Side, police say

CHICAGO - A man was killed in a shooting Friday evening while riding in a vehicle on Chicago's West Side, police said.

The incident occurred at 5:16 p.m. in the 3800 block of W. Adams, in the East Garfield Park neighborhood.

The victim, a passenger in the vehicle, was shot in the head and taken to Mt. Sinai Hospital in critical condition, according to Chicago police. He was later pronounced dead.

His identity and age have not been released.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing.
