Man killed in car shootout in Logan Square
CHICAGO - A man was killed after exchanging gunfire in traffic Thursday morning in Logan Square.
The man was driving a stolen vehicle around 8 p.m. southbound in the 2300 block of North Kimball Avenue when he started trading shots with people in a black SUV, police said.
The victim was shot once in the head and hit two parked cars before coming to a stop. Paramedics took him to Illinois Masonic Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.
The Cook County medical examiner's office has not yet released his identity.
A gun was recovered from the stolen car. No arrests have been made.
Area Five detectives are investigating.
