Man killed in Lake Zurich car crash identified
LAKE COUNTY, Ill. - A 72-year-old man killed in a car crash in the northwest suburbs on Monday has been identified.
According to police, Paul Anderson of Lake Zurich was driving a 2016 Chrysler 200 eastbound on Pheasant Ridge Drive when the vehicle veered off the road, struck several trees, and then collided with a 2015 Hyundai.
Anderson and his passenger were transported to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital, where Anderson was pronounced dead in the emergency room.
An autopsy revealed Anderson suffered an incapacitating medical event that caused his death and led to the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
