Man shot in chest in Homan Square

CHICAGO - A man is in critical condition after being shot in Homan Square Sunday morning.

At about 10:38 a.m., a 32-year-old man was near the street in the 3700 block of West Lexington when he was struck in the chest by gunfire, police said.

The man was transported to an area hospital in critical condition.

No offenders are in custody. Area detectives are investigating.
