Paris Olympics medal count: US has the most, but which country has the most golds?
The 2024 Olympics are done. The United States led the final medal standings with 126 total medals, ahead of China, Britain and France.
But which country came out with the most gold medals?
The U.S. still ranks at the top for that – tied with China. The U.S. women's basketball team held off France on Sunday to win gold in the final event of the Paris Olympics, and that hardware was needed for the Americans to tie China for the most with 40.
