Mike Ditka's son arrested at Des Plaines casino

The son of former Chicago Bears coach Mike Ditka was arrested again over the weekend, this time at a casino in northwest suburban Des Plaines.

Michael Ditka, 53, was arrested Saturday evening at Rivers Casino in Des Plaines, according to Des Plaines police. He was charged with misdemeanor battery.

Des Plaines police refused to provide further details about the arrest. An attorney for Ditka did not immediately respond to a call for comment Friday morning.

Michael Ditka, of Deerfield, was previously arrested for felony DUI on April 20, 2011, the Sun-Times reported at the time. However, the charges were dropped in 2012. Prior to that arrest, he had been charged with DUI twice.
