Minnesota man shot victim, turned gun on Chicago officers, police say
CHICAGO - A Minnesota man was charged in connection with the shooting of a 36-year-old victim and shooting at Chicago police officers on the city’s West Side early Saturday morning.
Tiresias Young, 45, of Duluth, Minnesota, was charged with two counts of attempted murder and unlawful use of a weapon, according to Chicago police.

Officers responded to the scene in the 5700 block of West North Avenue around 12:45 a.m. and found the suspect allegedly shooting at another person on the ground, police said. The victim was shot multiple times.
The suspect then allegedly fired shots at the responding officers and hit a squad car. One officer shot back at the suspect. No officers were injured.
The suspect fled.
Young was arrested a short time after the shooting in the 1500 block of North Massasoit Avenue. Police said they recovered three guns at the scene.
The Civilian Office of Police Accountability is investigating the shooting. The officers involved will be placed on routine administrative duties for a minimum of 30 days.
