Vehicle crashes into Popeye's restaurant in Mokena

MOKENA, Ill. - A vehicle crashed into a Popeye's restaurant in suburban Mokena on Wednesday.

According to the Mokena Fire Protection District, crews responded to the incident within four minutes of receiving the 911 call this afternoon.

The sole occupant of the vehicle was transported to an area hospital, officials said. No one inside the building was injured.

The extent of the damage to the restaurant and the cause of the crash have not yet been disclosed.
