Mom says her son's carjacked car was found using an app

CHICAGO (Fox 32 News) - A Chicago woman said she tracked down her son's carjacked car using an app.

The woman told Fox 32 News that her son was beaten up by three men in masks on Saturday. She said they took his shoes, belt, watch and and pants.

She told us that once the carjackers had taken off, her son and other relatives tracked the car to a garage in the North Austin neighborhood using an app.

Two suspects were seen running from the vehicle. There is no indication that the owner of the garage where the car was found was involved.
