3 wanted for robbing pedestrians at gunpoint on Chicago's Near West Side
CHICAGO - Chicago police are alerting residents after three armed robberies took place less than 90 minutes apart last week on the Near West Side.
The robberies happened Friday morning when three suspects pulled up in a stolen vehicle and took belongings from victims while armed with handguns, according to a CPD community alert. The suspects then re-entered the stolen car and fled the scene.
The robberies happened at:
- 5:38 a.m. in the 1200 block of West Randolph Street in West Town
- 6:20 a.m. in the 700 block of North May Street in River West
- 7 a.m. in the 100 block of North Western Avenue in West Town
Police described the suspects as African-Americans between the ages of 17-23, wearing black hoodies, black ski masks and black pants.
