North Lawndale shooting: Toddler critically wounded on Chicago's West Side
CHICAGO - A 2-year-old boy was shot and critically wounded Thursday on Chicago's West Side.
The shooting happened around 4 p.m. in the 3800 block of West 14th Street in the city's North Lawndale neighborhood.
According to police, the toddler was inside a home when he was shot multiple times in the lower body. He was taken to Stroger Hospital in critical condition.
A weapon was recovered at the scene and a person of interest is in custody, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
