Nurse picket line in North Chicago seeks to enhance morale and bolster veteran care

CHICAGO - Nurses at Lovell Federal Health Care Center in North Chicago are hitting the picket line.

This comes as 92 percent of VA facilities are reporting severe understaffing of nurses.

Here at home, nurses believe the solution is flexible work schedules.

They say the move would improve morale and help recruit and retain nurses who care for veterans.
