Off-duty Chicago cop fires shots during attempted carjacking

CHICAGO - An off-duty Chicago police officer fired shots during an attempted carjacking in Wrightwood Sunday night.

The incident occurred around 10:55 p.m. in the 7900 block of South Sacramento.

There were no injuries reported, and no one is in custody.

Area One detectives and the Chicago Office of Police Accountability are investigating.
