Pedestrian hit by car on Stevenson Expressway near Summit

COOK COUNTY, Ill. - A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle on the Stevenson Expressway near Summit Saturday morning. 

Illinois State Police said the crash occurred in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55 near 1st Avenue around 1:26 a.m.

All southbound lanes are closed and traffic is being diverted off at 1st Avenue. 

State police have not reported any injuries at this time. The crash remains under investigation.
