Peeping Tom in Evanston: Police seek suspect in string of incidents
EVANSTON, Ill. - A man accused in several peeping Tom incidents and a reported battery is on the run from police in Evanston.
The first incident happened at 11 p.m., June 18, in the 900 block of Hamlin Street.
The victim told Evanston police that a man was looking into the back windows of their home and that another incident occurred the previous week.
A second incident involving the alleged peeping Tom was reported just four days later at 10:40 p.m., June 22, in the 2000 block of Pratt Court, according to police.
Police also said a third incident occurred on June 22 in the same area, during which the suspect allegedly grabbed the victim's buttocks before fleeing the scene.
The suspect is described as a man in his mid-30s, 5-foot-10 with brown hair and a medium complexion.
Police are urging residents to lock their windows and doors, close blinds or curtains, stay vigilant and report any suspicious activity.
