A person was fatally struck by a Metra train in Downers Grove Friday night.

DOWNERS GROVE, Ill. - A person was fatally struck by a Metra train in Downers Grove Friday night.

At about 7:01 p.m., Metra said train movement was halted near Main Street after train #1277 struck a pedestrian.

The duration of the delay is unknown at this time, but Metra believes the delays will be extensive.
