Polar Dome Ice Rink returns to Santa’s Village after 20 years

Santa’s Village Amusement and Water Park in East Dundee is bringing back the Polar Dome Ice Rink for the 2025 season, marking its first reopening in 20 years. 

The rink, originally a centerpiece of the park, is set to provide a family-friendly skating experience starting Jan. 17.

The Polar Dome will host activities like public skating, recreational hockey, Learn to Skate USA programs, themed events and birthday parties. 

In addition to the rink, the Alpine Room, a lounge and bar featuring a full-service kitchen and gaming options, will offer a place for guests to relax after their time on the ice.

Santa’s Village has been a beloved destination in East Dundee since 1959, known for its rides, petting zoo and water park. With its pay-one-price admission, the park aims to provide family fun for all ages. 

The return of the Polar Dome Ice Rink brings back a piece of nostalgia for many longtime visitors while offering new experiences for future generations.
