Search underway for suspect in I-65 shooting in northwest Indiana
JASPER COUNTY, Ind. - Authorities are searching for a suspect linked to an overnight shooting on Interstate 65 in northwest Indiana late last October.
What we know
Indiana State Police (ISP) responded to a reported shooting at 12:30 a.m. on Oct. 24 on I-65 southbound at exit 230, the Demotte/Roselawn ramp.
Dashcam footage showed a suspect in a white Dodge Avenger firing at the victim, police said.
The car has front-end damage, two black racing stripes near the front door and hood, and square rear tail lights.
Authorities released an image of the vehicle and urged anyone with information or who witnessed the shooting to contact Trooper Jordin Rosillo at 219-696-6242.

What we don't know
Details on what led up to the shooting or the victim's condition have not been released.
Police have also not provided any more information on the suspect accused in the shooting.
