Shooting on I-294 prompts lane closures, no injuries reported

CHICAGO - Illinois State Police are investigating a reported shooting Thursday morning on Interstate 294.

The shooting happened just before 5 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-294 near Dixie Highway, according to police.

Officials said one person was shot at from another vehicle, but no injuries were reported.

Temporary lane closures were put in place following the incident to allow for an investigation.
