South Lawndale shooting: Driver struck by gunfire on Chicago's West Side

CHICAGO - A 23-year-old man was shot while driving in his vehicle Tuesday on Chicago's South Side.

Around 11:14 a.m., police say the male victim was traveling southbound in the 2800 block of S. Pulaski Rd. when he heard gunshots and realized he was wounded.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in good condition, police said.

Nobody was reported in custody. The investigation is ongoing.
