Chicago man charged in South Side armed robbery
CHICAGO - A Chicago man was charged in connection with an armed robbery last November in the Oakland neighborhood.

What we know:
Cortez Savage, 23, allegedly robbed a 37-year-old woman at gunpoint and tried to rob another woman on Nov. 26 in the 1000 block of East 40th Place, according to Chicago police.
Savage was arrested Tuesday in the Park Manor neighborhood. He was charged with armed robbery with a firearm and attempted robbery with a firearm, both felonies.
Savage was also charged with a pair of misdemeanors: operating a vehicle when the registration is canceled, suspended or revoked and for driving on a suspended license. He was also cited for operating an uninsured motor vehicle.
What's next:
Savage has a detention hearing scheduled for Wednesday.
