Suburban man gets 8 years for trafficking guns into Chicago
CHICAGO - A Lyons man will spend more than eight years in prison for trafficking guns into Chicago.
John Phillips was sentenced Thursday.
Investigators say from 2016 to 2018, the 26-year-old worked with people to bring in dozens of weapons from Kentucky. Several ended up being found at crime scenes in the city.
Two other people, including a Chicago man, were expected to be sentenced Thursday.
