While on an expedition off the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, a diver captured stunning footage of a fellow diver swimming alongside a sunfish.
CABO SAN LUCAS, Mexico - Dramatic video shows just how big a sunfish can get after the footage showed a diver, appearing like a dwarf, alongside it.
The backstory:
The diver was on an expedition off the coast of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico
Luis Miguel Gutierres Bringas, a sea-diving tour operator, recorded the video and told Storyful it was a "once-in-a-lifetime moment."
According to Storyful, the ocean sunfish is the world’s heaviest bony fish. It weighs about 5,000 pounds, according to Monterey Bay Aquarium.
