Boy, 14, charged with robbing store worker on Chicago’s South Side

A 14-year-old boy was charged in connection with the armed robbery of a retail store employee in the Burnside neighborhood earlier this year.

The boy was charged with robbery while armed with a firearm and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, according to Chicago police.

He was one of the offenders who allegedly took merchandise from the employee at gunpoint in the 1000 block of East 93rd Street on Sept. 20.

The teen was arrested on Tuesday and charged.
