Obama portraits now on display at the Art Institute of Chicago
CHICAGO - Starting Friday, the portraits of former President Barack Obama and former First Lady Michelle Obama are on display at the Art Institute of Chicago.
The Obama presidential portraits are on a five-city national tour from the National Portrait Gallery.
The tour kicks off in Chicago, staying for eight weeks before heading to other cities.
Tickets are not required for card-carrying members of the Art Institute..
However, other visitors will need to buy general admission tickets to see the portraits.
All tickets to see the portraits for June are sold out, according to the institute.
Tickets for July and August will be available for sale on the following schedule:
- July 1–15 tickets are available on June 24.
- July 16–31 tickets are available on July 8.
- Aug. 1–8 tickets are available on July 22.
- Aug. 9–15 tickets are available on Aug. 2.
