Three in custody, several hospitalized after stabbing at suburban restaurant: police

Three people are in custody and several victims are hospitalized with stab wounds following an incident at a Jamaican restaurant in Oak Forest Saturday afternoon.

Oak Forest police responded to the Jamaica Jerk Choice restaurant, located in the 6000 block of W. 159th Street., at 2 p.m.

Officers found several victims with stab wounds, and three suspects were taken into custody. Further details about the incident have not been released.

The victims were transported to a nearby hospital. Their conditions are unknown.

Police said the incident was isolated and that there is no further threat to the public.

Sources told FOX 32 that a former employee of the restaurant may have been involved in the incident, but this has not been confirmed. 

The restaurant remained closed for the rest of the day as police canvassed the scene.
