Two people shot dead in parking lot of P.F. Chang's in Orland Park
ORLAND PARK (Sun-Times Media Wire) - A man shot a woman to death before turning the gun on himself Sunday afternoon outside a restaurant in southwest suburban Orland Park, authorities said.
Officers responded at 5:19 p.m. to a report of gunshots in the parking lot of a P.F. Chang’s restaurant, 14135 S. LaGrange Road in Orland Park, according to Orland Park police.
Officers arrived to find 43-year-old Renee Isadore dead inside a vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds, according to police and the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. An autopsy Monday found Isadore, who lived in Mount Greenwood on the Far South Side, died of multiple gunshot wounds and her death was ruled a homicide.
The gunshots appeared to have been fired by 59-year-old Steven Shereyk of Willow Springs, police said. He was found dead next to the vehicle with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
An autopsy Monday found he died of the wound and his death was ruled a suicide, according to the medical examiner’s office.
Police said Isadore and Shereyk had been in a relationship, but were not married. The shooting was being investigated as a murder-suicide.
