United to buy 15 supersonic jets that will cut fly time in half

CHICAGO - Get ready to fly fast! 

United Airlines is buying 15 supersonic aircrafts.

The Chicago-based company says it's buying the jets from "Boom Supersonic" in Colorado. 

The company says the planes can get people to 500+ cities in nearly half the time it currently takes. 

The jets are expected to take flight in 2029.
